Splashing into Safety at Heather Secondary!

Heather Secondary School’s Grade 8 learners recently dove into an unforgettable experience during a fun-filled Water Safety Programme designed to teach essential life skills in an exciting, hands-on way. The day was a perfect blend of learning and laughter as students explored how to stay safe in and around water. With energetic demonstrations and interactive activities, learners discovered how to swim safely, recognise potential hazards, and remain calm in emergencies — all while enjoying the thrill of being in the pool.

The highlight of the day came when learners got to put their new skills into action, jumping into the pool to practise what they’d learned. Laughter, cheering, and teamwork filled the air as students participated enthusiastically in water games and challenges. Prizes added to the excitement, while facilitators praised the learners for their curiosity, cooperation, and positive spirit throughout the session.
